Meet the Shifting the Power Community Board!
In early 2025, over 4,500 letters were sent to homes across Brixton and Peckham, inviting residents to apply for the Fund’s community Board. Those who responded were entered into a random lottery, ensuring the board is truly representative and community-led.
Since joining the programme in March 2025, the board has begun shaping how the fund operates.
They've taken part in training and development sessions on Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI), community research, and team building — including working with The Amos Bursary to better understand their individual strengths and how to collaborate effectively using Lumina Learning.
This is just the beginning. Watch this space as the board continues to shape the fund and bring something game-changing to Brixton and Peckham. 🎉
